I woke up Sunday morning and was craving some good Danish eats. I decided to go on a lenghy walk over to the area called Vesterbro. This part of town reminds me a lot of the Lower East Side of Manhattan or Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Lots of little bars all around with cheap prices and a divey type feel. Also there are tons of little cafes and what not.
On my walk I stumbled upon one of the two Sticks and Sushi resteraunts here in Denmark. I had tried to go to the other one on a Friday night with a co-worker but it was PACKED… I was relieved to see that there was only one couple in the resteraunt on this particular Sunday morning.
I was seated quickly and ordered a glass of cold saki and an Yibisu beer. The menu looked great, they had sushi, shashimi, a variety of rolls and skewers. I decided to order a set meal that was a sampler of their variety…. lots of food!
It was really good and I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Meatball skewers, full of flavor and had a great sauce to accompany it. It was a little on the pricey side at 350 kroners (about 60 USD). I thought it was well worth it, another delectable Danish meal!
